Salary: $80,000 - $150,000 per year

A growing commercial general contractor is seeking a skilled Estimator to support preconstruction efforts on a diverse portfolio of ground-up and renovation projects. This individual will play a key role in developing competitive bids, analyzing project documents, and working closely with project managers, field leadership, and subcontractors to build accurate project budgets.

• Review and analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis for labor, materials, and subcontractor scopes.
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor bids.
• Assist in the development of conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and value‑engineering options.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and leadership during preconstruction planning.
• Identify potential risk factors, scope gaps, and cost‑saving opportunities during the estimating process.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners to ensure competitive pricing.
• Participate in bid reviews, scope clarifications, and proposal preparation.
• Assist in project handoff to operations teams once work is awarded.

• 3–10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating ground‑up construction and renovation projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Experience working with subcontractor bid leveling and scope reviews.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project sequencing.
• Proficiency with estimating software, takeoff tools, and Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
