Medical Receptionist

Center Well Senior Primary Care

Job Summary

The Receptionist 1 receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors so that all callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately. They perform basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support and computational tasks, usually on routine and patterned assignments. The role requires working with a multi-line phone system, maintaining call logs, greeting visitors, managing visitor passes and logs, and responding to routine inquiries.

Additional administrative duties may include booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, and handling courier packages.

Responsibilities
  • Operate the switchboard or multi-line phone and maintain long distance call logs.
  • Takes and distributes accurate messages.
  • Greets visitors, determines nature of visit and issues visitor passes, maintains visitor logs.
  • Alerts appropriate parties of visitor arrival or directs visitors to appropriate office, department or employee.
  • Responds to routine inquiries from internal or external sources about location, hours, phone numbers, and emails.
  • Performs miscellaneous administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, receiving and sending courier packages.
  • Works under close supervision with minimal deviation from established policies and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Required:
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • 1+ year experience in a healthcare setting preferred (also strong customer service background in retail, hospitality, call centers).
    • Passionate about improving patient experiences.
    • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
    • Team player with a positive attitude.
    • Ability to multitask in fast‑paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and highly organized.
    • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with value‑based care model.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Experience with EMR systems.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Pay Range & Hours
  • Base pay: $38,000.00 – $45,800.00 per year (may vary by geography and experience).
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Eligible for bonus incentive plan based on company or individual performance.

Additional Information

This role is considered patient‑facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
