Staff Accountant

A growing organization in the energy industry is seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and the month-end close process. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in developing a strong foundation across a wide range of accounting responsibilities.

• Perform monthly financial statement reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and complete monthly general ledger reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
• Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and performing variance analysis
• Maintain organized and well-documented work papers supporting reconciliations
• Identify discrepancies and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues promptly
• Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules and providing documentation
• Assist with improving accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Contribute to full-cycle accounting activities and support the broader accounting team as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred
• Experience with month-end close required
• Proficiency with Quick Books and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and lookups)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

$32 - $34 an hour

$65-70K Salaried (Upon Conversion)
