Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
About the role
Miller’s Energy is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to oversee the accounting functions for multiple Entities. In this role, you will manage day-to-day activities, prepare reconciliations, and support the month-end close process. You will also be responsible for generating accurate financial reports across the full portfolio of entities. Salary will be based on experience.
Quick Books Online (QBO) experience is required
, and experience converting files from Quick Books Desktop to QBO is a strong plus
- Record/categorize bank and credit card activity, vendor bills, tenant receipts, owner distributions, and transfers
- Maintain accurate intercompany due-to/due-from tracking across entities
- Process weekly check runs / vendor payments for entities
- Run monthly financials for all entities (P&L, Balance Sheet, GL detail)
- Complete month-end GL reconciliations for each entity
- Prepare and post recurring monthly journal entries
- 2+ years in bookkeeping/staff accounting; multi-entity experience strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements
- High attention to detail, organization, and independent follow-through
- Clear written/verbal communication and confidence flagging issues early
Minimum associate’s degree in accounting
Systems & Software- Quick Books Desktop (conversion familiarity preferred)
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, Adobe Acrobat
