Overview
We are currently recruiting to our Trusts Temporary Staffing Team - Bank on Us and are seeking Registered Nurses with a valid NMC registration and a minimum of twelve months post‑graduate experience within an acute UK hospital setting. You must work well in a team and be reliable and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills, as well as adaptable and flexible to changing situations, working within Trust policies and the NMC Code of Conduct.
The Trust covers different hospital sites; the main site is St Peters Hospital in Chertsey and it also includes Ashford Hospital and Woking Community Hospital.
Areas and shifts- Urgent and Emergency care includes the Emergency Department
- Inpatient medical, surgical, orthopaedic and care of the elderly wards
- Intensive Care Unit with a combination of Intensive care beds and HDU beds
- Women’s Health and Paediatrics
- Bank on Us Hourly Pay Rates – depending on experience rate includes high-cost area payment and WTD payment
- Once you have completed the Bank Pre-Registration process you will be booked to attend the Trust's Induction Programme, this is approx. 5/6 days.
- Undertaking shifts as a Bank Registered Nurse on a temporary basis in a ward / department within the hospital setting.
- Working effectively and efficiently and in collaboration with the multi professional teams to deliver high quality and individualised patient care.
- Be responsible to the nurse in charge or where appropriate act as shift leader, delivering direct patient care as assigned and supporting junior colleagues.
- The role is varied, equally challenging and rewarding, where you will have the opportunity to really make a difference to the experience of our patients. This includes supporting patients in their rehabilitation and recovery following an operation or a period of acute illness or providing holistic and compassionate care for patients at the end of life.

Responsibilities (continued)- Working as a Bank Registered Nurse in a variety of wards / departments within the hospital setting.
- Carry out assigned tasks involved with direct patient care whilst maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients, demonstrating care, compassion and communication while working alongside the multidisciplinary team.
- Delivering high quality direct patient care; following patient admission/transfer/discharge processes.
- Medication administration; care planning and evaluation; wound management.
- Accountable to nurse in charge of each shift and supporting junior colleagues.
