Reporting to the Senior PM, the Product Manager - Floorcare supports the increased focus within this area and is responsible for achieving the strong growth targets and commercial objectives for our Vacuum Cleaning category. In this role, you will take the responsibility for developing the strategy, plan and flawlessly implementing both in life products and new product introductions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and build the relevant Category strategy and product roadmaps
  • Ensure that monthly margin targets are met to deliver both local profit and global profit
  • Analyse Weekly sell-out figures to determine direction for the overall categories
  • Provide scenario planning that will guide decision making
  • Provide information to guide channelisation, product lifecycle management and investment decisions for relevant categories
  • Work closely with the Product Planner for all needed, relevant analysis and insights
  • Work with commercial and marketing teams to ensure consumer targets and activity are aligned
  • Set the £RRP and invoice pricing for category products to ensure the product range is aimed for the target market
  • Set the direction for segmentation of relevant Category products in the UK
  • Ensure that monthly, quarterly and yearly targets for Volume, Revenue and Sell-out are met
  • Provide recommendations on a monthly promotional plan that will guide the commercial team's priorities in terms of sell-in
  • Review and react to competitor strategy, communicating insights and actions to both UK and Korean HQ
  • Set the priorities for the product category ensuring that actions achieve the objectives whilst also being aligned to the overall vision of Samsung DA
  • Take full accountability for the relevant categories P&L, providing scenarios and communicating to Senior PM + Head of PM when needed
  • Management and ownership of budget and revenue targets for relevant categories
  • With the support handle conflicting viewpoints and ensuring that the business can move forward in a handled and clear fashion
  • Find new and innovative solutions to deal with long-term challenges and short-term problems
  • Work alongside wider PM team, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing and Commercial teams to develop propositions
  • Contribute to the development of the quarterly and yearly Volume, Value and Margin plan
  • Work with demand planning teams to work with factory teams to set our demand forecast for supply.
  • Work with the commercial sales team to ensure that any variation to plans are managed and communicated
  • Own and contribute to the development of the launch plan for new products within relevant Category portfolio
  • Co-ordinate key partners with the launch to ensure overall delivery of the launch strategy.
  • Lead and handle the launch process for new products within the Emerging Category portfolio, Meeting quarterly and yearly targets for Volume, Revenue, Profit, Net Dealer Price and Mix
  • Market share and ASP of categories provided by GFK
  • Accuracy and improvement of promotional simulations
  • Accuracy of commercial forecasts
  • Quality and reliability of reporting
Qualifications
  • Previous Product Management experience, ideally within the small domestic appliance space
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Experience of handling large quantities of data to make complicated decisions
  • Creative thinking
  • Self-motivator and self-starter
  • Outstanding communications skills comfortable presenting at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to break complex problems down into simple, meaningful solutions
  • Flexible & adaptable with ability to work in cross functional teams
