Responsibilities- Lead and execute a revenue portfolio driven by priority relationships, pipeline development, account management, events, and fundraising activities with a significant team income target of greater than seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
- Ensure goal achievement through effective leadership, engagement, empowerment, and mobilization of diverse partners, constituents, and volunteers.
- Lead all aspects of event planning and execution for best‑in‑class fundraising events.
- Deliver exceptional donor experience and deepen their engagement with the mission.
- Manage voluntary and customer retention, recognition, and pipeline development, focusing on high‑impact relationships and key volunteer leadership roles.
- Develop relationships and engage target partners, organizations, corporations, and individuals.
- Collaborate with development team members, Marketing, Cancer Control, and ACS CAN staff to maximize success.
- Develop trusted relationships with vendors, venues, volunteers, and other constituents.
- Engage, recruit, steward, train, and manage volunteers and customers to execute fundraising plans and achieve revenue goals.
- Effectively complete activities and meet target deadlines to execute successful events or fundraising activities.
- Implement best practices for revenue growth, adjust to customer experience survey results and feedback, and drive creativity and innovation for new revenue opportunities.
- Monitor and advise on financial expenditures, progress to budget, and take appropriate measures to meet top‑ and bottom‑line goals for a high return on investment.
- Engage the community to create relevant, best‑in‑class experiences for priority constituents, including participants, teams, sponsors, cancer survivors, and caregivers.
- Ensure compliance with ACS policies, including employment, risk management, event and cash handling, data management, and financial controls.
- Model and foster a culture that values the staff‑volunteer partnership and is consistent with ACS values.
- BS/BA or equivalent experience.
- Preferred 5 years of successful experience in fundraising, corporate engagement, and relationship development within a multi‑million‑dollar organization.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, project manage, and meet deadlines with strong planning and organizational skills.
- Outcome‑driven with strong project management ability.
- Strong customer‑service orientation with extensive experience addressing and resolving issues.
- Remains composed under stress, handles criticism tactfully, and delivers on organizational commitments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Successful in diverse team environments.
- Ability to recruit, train, and motivate community‑based volunteers.
- Proven relationship‑building, persuasion, and influence skills.
- Proactively monitors and adjusts activities to respond to changing circumstances and priorities, mitigating risks.
- Works through others to accomplish goals.
- Strong market, community, and constituent perspective.
- Broad knowledge of ACS structure, programs, and services, including policies and procedures.
- Proficient in computer‑based information systems.
- Must have access to a car or be able to transport materials to and from meetings and special events/programs.
- Must be able to staff evening and weekend meetings, events, and programs.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs and perform set‑up/take‑down of event equipment.
The starting rate is $70,000 to $75,000. The final candidate’s relevant experience and skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non‑discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
