Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the monthly close process and general ledger.
- Oversee AP, AR, cash management
, and reconciliations; stay hands‑on as needed. - Develop and document GAAP‑compliant accounting policies and procedures
. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for leadership.
- Partner cross‑functionally on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate audits and ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
- Design and implement internal controls and scalable workflows.
- Hire, mentor, and lead a small accounting team as the function matures.
Background We’re Targeting
- 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience (up to ~20 years considered).
- Deep experience owning the full close cycle and general ledger
. - Proven success in lean, build‑from‑scratch, or high‑growth environments
. - Flexible, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves mentality with strong follow‑through.
- Executive presence and ability to communicate clearly with non‑finance leaders.
- CPA preferred but not required.
