Industrial Laundry Maintenance Mechanic

Overview

Location:

Cherry Hill, NJ facility. Performed work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate performance of routine maintenance in reference to a daily preventative maintenance schedule in and around the laundry facility.

• Maintain all plant equipment including high-volume industrial washers and dryers; repair or replace equipment when necessary.
• Perform basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work; troubleshoot and solve technical issues by following manuals and schematics.
• Order necessary parts, tools, and equipment in a timely manner following company procurement policy.
• Maintain a proper daily schedule control for equipment maintenance and the preventative maintenance schedule and records.
• Conduct daily removal and processing of waste solids generated from the treatment process.
• Perform equipment troubleshooting, make necessary repairs, and complete preventative maintenance and housekeeping practices for all wastewater hardware.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment; observe best practices in all production activities; follow safety precautions and lock-out/tag-out procedures for equipment; adhere to all safety, boiler, and wastewater treatment procedures.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

• Demonstrated mechanical and basic electrical aptitude.
• Familiar with standard maintenance procedures, preventative maintenance schedules, and proper safety techniques.
• Basic knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and applicable codes.
• Ability to comprehend and perform required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule; work may be based on a shift schedule and include weekends; overtime may be required.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years’ maintenance experience.
