Junior Security Engineer/SIEM/Incident Response
This is a full-time opportunity for a Junior Security Engineer based in South Jersey (hybrid-friendly), joining a growing mid‑size healthcare company that supports both internal corporate systems and customer‑facing platforms. The team is invested in building strong security fundamentals and mentoring early‑career talent. The technology environment includes Linux (Red Hat), Windows Server, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), SIEM tools, endpoint security, and vulnerability management solutions.

- 1–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, or systems administration
- Basic understanding of security concepts such as access control, patching, and vulnerability management
- Familiarity with Linux or Windows operating systems
- Experience with scripting or automation basics (Power Shell, Bash, or Python preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting mindset and eagerness to learn
- Exposure to SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, ELK, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Knowledge of security tools like EDR, vulnerability scanners, or IAM platforms
- Internship, lab, or home‑lab security experience
- Security+ or other entry‑level security certification
