Student Social Worker

Overview

Arista Care is seeking a motivated and compassionate Student Social Worker to join our interdisciplinary care team in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. This position is ideal for a social work student seeking supervised fieldwork or internship experience in long-term care, sub-acute, and rehabilitation services. The Student Social Worker will work under the supervision of the Social Services Director and/or Licensed Social Worker, gaining practical experience while supporting residents and families through psychosocial services and care planning.

• Preferred Requirements: actively in social work school
• Salary/Rate: unpaid internship

• Assist with psychosocial assessments, care planning, and discharge coordination
• Provide emotional support and advocacy for residents and families
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Complete documentation per facility and regulatory requirements
• Observe interventions related to mental health, coping, and social adjustment

• Currently enrolled in an accredited BSW or MSW program
• Eligible for field placement or internship in healthcare/long-term care
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Interest in geriatrics, long-term care, or healthcare social work
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience a plus
