Certified Hand Therapist
Philadelphia Hand and Shoulder Center is looking for a Certified Hand Therapist to work at our Cherry Hill, NJ therapy clinic.

SummaryOur clinic diagnoses, treats, repairs, and manages the rehabilitation of injuries to the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. We treat patients from elite athletes and active adults to children and disabled seniors.

- Provides patient care in accordance with established protocols and patient care guidelines.
- Responsible for timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.
- Maintain compliance with company policy and state/federal guidelines.
- Ensure patients are treated promptly with scheduled appointments.
- Communicate importance of plans of care, home exercise programs, minimize cancellations and no-show; target 90% appointment kept rate.
- Provide comprehensive patient care.
- Delegate appropriate patient care activities to occupational therapist assistants within their skill level and state practice act standards.
- Supervise occupational therapist assistants’ activities.
- Delegate and supervise non-patient care activities of clinical aides.
- Consult with referring physicians as needed, via documentation and verbally.
- Pursue continuing education through formal classes, reading periodicals, and other literature.
- Maintain highest standards of professional conduct.
- Practice functional, pre‑vocational, and homemaking skills, activities of daily living.
- Coordinate sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities to aid patients in developing or regaining functions.
- Consult with other rehab team members to select activity programs consistent with needs and capabilities and coordinate occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities.
- Select constructive activities suited to the individual's physical capacity, IQ, and interest to maximize independence, prepare for return to employment, restore functions, and aid in disability adjustment.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) license required (preferred).
