Senior Cost Accountant | Hybrid (2 Days in Office)

I’m recruiting for a client that’s expanding rapidly after a major acquisition by a Large International company. They’re looking for a strong Senior Cost Accountant who can make an immediate impact — and transition quickly into a Manager role
.

This is a high-visibility position with tremendous growth potential, direct mentorship from exceptional senior leaders, and exposure to M&A activity and operational finance.

• Hybrid schedule (1 day in office now, moving to 2 in early 2025)
• Exposure to M&A and process transformation
• Compensation up to $130K base + bonus potential

• Oversee and improve cost accounting processes and monthly close activities
• Analyze manufacturing and production costs, comparing standard vs. actual, and identifying variances by product and customer
• Maintain accurate inventory records and quarterly reserves per GAAP
• Lead physical inventory programs and cycle counts
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to improve KPIs and financial visibility
• Develop and document processes around inventory and costing
• Provide management with insights into cost drivers and profitability

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and GAAP
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
