Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations and provide strategic financial guidance to support our continued growth. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role will work closely with ownership and senior management.

• Oversee all accounting operations including A/P, A/R, general ledger, cost accounting, and payroll
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with analysis and commentary
• Develop and monitor KPIs and financial metrics relevant to manufacturing operations
• Ensure accurate job costing, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold reporting
• Manage the annual budget process and provide variance analysis

• Implement and maintain cost accounting systems to track product profitability
• Analyze manufacturing overhead, labor efficiency, and material costs
• Partner with operations to improve processes and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate physical inventory counts

• Provide financial analysis to support business decisions and capital investments
• Develop cash flow forecasts and manage banking relationships
• Support ownership with succession planning and long-term financial strategy
• Evaluate financing options and manage debt obligations
• Supervise accounting staff and provide mentoring and development
• Foster a collaborative, family-oriented work environment
• Cross-train team members to ensure continuity

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 12+ years of experience, including 5+ in a leadership position, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing financial metrics
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
