Overview
Music Teacher role (Store 825) at The Guitar Center Company. The position focuses on teaching music lessons, growing student enrollment, and upholding Guitar Center’s culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.
Responsibilities- As a Music Teacher, teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum and work to increase student count while ensuring each student grows, develops, and enjoys playing music.
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students utilizing the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed, helping to build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Partner with all students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships and incorporating parental input where appropriate.
- Communicate progress with students and/or parents; share goals and progress frequently.
- Previous experience in music, education, or related field.
- Ability to teach the instrument in which they are proficient (e.g., drums, guitar, keyboard, etc.).
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area they will be teaching.
Pay Rate: $15.49/hr - $18.99/hr Non-Teaching Rate and up to $23.09/hr Total Teaching Rate depending on background and experience.
