SPECIAL EDUCATION CLASSROOM ASSISTANT (10 MONTH + 30 DAYS)

We are looking for dynamic teaching assistants who want to work with a young, autistic population in an ABA setting. This is an ideal postion for anyone looking to start a career in education with a goal of becoming a teacher or becoming a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).
Teaching assistants will be given a 10 month contract (Sept. 1-June 30) that includes days off for school holidays including a week for winter break and a week for spring break as well as a 30 day contract for ESY (Extended School Year) that runs for six weeks in the summer.
10 month school year hours are 8am-3pm, while the 30 day ESY hours are 8am-2pm.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
The Classroom Assistant shall:

Possess 60 college credits from an accredited post-secondary institution

OR hold Bachelor's Degree from an accredited post-secondary institution

Demonstrate excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills and the ability to motivate and instruct students.

Demonstrate energy, enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.

Showcase expertise and experience in using 21st Century based/Web 2.0 technology tools and protocols.

The Classroom Assistant at Y.A.L.E.
