We are seeking a Transport Administrator to provide essential administrative support to the transport planning team, ensuring efficient day‑to‑day operations through accurate job booking, effective communication, and timely coordination with internal teams and external customers.
Key Responsibilities- Inbox Management:
Handle the transport planning inbox and respond promptly and professionally - Job Entry:
Create and input transport jobs accurately into the planning system - Booking Coordination:
Schedule and confirm collections and deliveries with teams, suppliers, and customers - Customer Support:
Be the first point of contact, providing updates and resolving queries quickly - System Maintenance:
Keep transport systems updated and compliant - Team
Collaboration:
Work with planners and drivers to ensure plans are achievable and changes are communicated - Reporting:
Support the production of daily and weekly operational reports - Admin Support:
Provide general administrative assistance to the planning function
- At least 1 year supporting transport or logistics operations
- Experience using TMS or similar operational systems for job entry and updates
- Confident handling customer queries, providing updates, and resolving issues
- Clear, professional communication with customers, drivers, planners, and suppliers
- Ability to manage a high‑volume shared inbox and respond promptly
- Experience booking collections/deliveries and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail when entering jobs and updating systems
Comfortable supporting daily/weekly operational reporting - Proven ability to work closely with planners and drivers
- Solid administrative skills within a fast‑paced operational environment
