We are looking for Candidates from following organisations:  Stanley Lifestyles, Roche Bobois, Royal Oak, Poliform, Poltrona Frau, Alankaram, Natuzzi, B&B Italia, BoConcept, Home Centre, Livspace, Urban Ladder, IKEA, Christian Dior, Coach, Hidesign, or similar premium Furniture /luxury retail environments.

Position Overview:

The General Manager – Furniture & Décor Business will lead the end-to-end strategy, operations, and growth of the showroom and allied production ecosystem, with complete ownership of revenue, profitability, and overall business performance.

This role is accountable for driving sales excellence, customer experience, procurement, supply chain efficiency, and production coordination, ensuring seamless execution from sourcing to final sale. As the business leader for the vertical, the incumbent will build high-performing teams, implement systems and dashboards for data-driven decisions, and scale the business through strong commercial and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Business & P&L Leadership

Own complete P&L responsibility for the Furniture & Décor vertical

Drive revenue growth, margins, and overall profitability

Develop annual business plans, forecasts, and growth strategies

Monitor performance through dashboards, KPIs, and periodic reviews
Sales & Customer Experience

Lead showroom sales, strategy and conversion excellence

Drive premium/consultative selling and high-ticket transactions

Enhance customer journey, visual merchandising, and in-store experience

Build repeat business through relationship selling and clienteling

Achieve targets on revenue per sq. ft., ticket size, and sell-through
Operations & Supply Chain

Oversee daily showroom and backend operations

Manage procurement, vendor relationships, and inventory planning

Optimize stock turns, working capital, and cost structures

Ensure process discipline and SOP adherence
Production & Execution

Coordinate with production partners/workshops for timely deliveries

Monitor quality standards, finishes, and material selection

Align sourcing with pricing strategy and margin goals

Ensure seamless order-to-delivery execution
Team Leadership

Build and lead cross-functional teams across sales, operations, and sourcing

Drive accountability, productivity, and performance culture

Coach team members on premium retail and customer engagement

Collaborate closely with founders/leadership on business strategy
Systems & Governance

Implement MIS, dashboards, and reporting frameworks

Leverage data insights for decision-making and planning

Establish scalable processes for expansion and growth

Experience

12+ years of leadership experience in lifestyle, premium retail, or design-led product categories

Preferably from furniture, home décor, interiors, or luxury retail brands

Experience managing end-to-end store/business operations with P&L ownership
Functional Expertise

Strong understanding of furniture materials, finishes, sourcing, costing, and pricing

Experience in premium/consultative retail selling

Knowledge of vendor management and supply chain

Commercial and financial acumen

Education
Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Management, Retail, Operations, or related field preferred.
