About the Role
A leading apparel manufacturing organization in Bangladesh is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Assistant General Manager – Marketing / Merchandising to lead international buyer management, product development, and end-to-end merchandising operations .
This role specifically requires strong hands-on experience in Jackets and other garment categories beyond lingerie , with proven expertise in pricing, negotiations, and order execution .

Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Buyer Management
Handle and grow international buyer accounts
Lead buyer negotiations, order bookings, and long-term business development
Strong exposure to buyer communication, costing, and delivery timelines
Merchandising Operations
End-to-end merchandising ownership from sampling to shipment
Mandatory experience handling Jackets and other non-lingerie apparel categories
Manage T&A, order execution, and on-time delivery
Ensure accurate costing, pricing, and margin control
Product Development
Lead product development with design, sampling, and production teams
Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, and garment construction
Ensure buyer quality, fit, and compliance standards
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with production, sourcing, quality, and logistics teams
Resolve production challenges proactively
Ensure compliance with buyer and factory requirements
Team Leadership & Reporting
Lead, mentor, and manage merchandising teams
Track KPIs, order status, and performance metrics
Report to senior leadership

Required Qualifications & Experience
Degree or Diploma in Textile / Apparel / Fashion Management
Proven experience in Apparel Marketing & Merchandising
Strong hands-on experience with Jackets and multiple apparel categories (excluding lingerie-only profiles)
International buyer handling experience
Strong commercial, costing, and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
ERP systems and MS Office proficiency
