Role

Description:

The General Manager – Operations is responsible for providing end-to-end operational leadership for site/facility management, ensuring all services, amenities, and infrastructure are delivered to high-class industry standards. The role focuses on operational excellence, statutory compliance, cost optimization, people management, and stakeholder coordination while aligning operations with organizational and client objectives.

Key Responsibility Areas:

- Provide a comprehensive Management service to ensure that all amenities are resourced and maintained to high-class industry standard.
- Ensure all services are performed as per Standard Service Specifications.
- Ensure preparation of management budgets and perform collection
- Manage the budget efficiently and yield cost savings where possible without compromising quality of service.
- Maintain site accommodation and services, through contractors and direct labour, in most cost effective way.
- Ensures occupancy of sites complies with statutory legislation.
- Ensure quality of staff, appraising and developing them to ensure maximum contribution.
- Proactive liaison with local and Delhi municipal authorities.
- Interviews, selects, hires, supervises and reviews qualified operation and management staff
- Advise DGM Commercial to insure compliance with basic statutory requirements like licenses, permits etc.
- Ensures that all client deliverables are submitted in a timely manner.
- Acts as the liaison to local community public interest groups
- Oversees all vendor bidding
- Ensures that entire staff maintains a critical eye on all aspects of physical care
- Formulate strategic directions towards effective management of site operation.
- Provides suitable business controls & administer policies/ processes / procedures.
- Formulates suitable budgeting controls
- Advise DGM
- Commercial on budgeting (Operational / revenue).
- Monitor SLA’s & KPI’s towards effective service delivery
- Reviews / Sanctions annual business plans.

Must Have Requirements:

Leadership :

- Direct management team to work in an effective manner.

Communication :

- Effective command over team.

Qualification &

Experience:

- A bachelor’s degree with 10-15 yrs. Experience in Building Management industry.
- Ability to train, assigns, organize, prioritize, motivate, supervise and evaluate the work of assigned employees and contractors.
- Ability to use logical and creative thought processes to develop solutions for short term and long term building systems needs
- Ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines and emergency situations.
