SAP ABAP Developer

The organization is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience to analyze, enhance, and develop ABAP programs for implementing custom business logic, with a primary focus on SAP Data Archiving. The role requires strong technical proficiency in ABAP development, in-depth debugging skills, and the ability to reverse engineer standard SAP programs to understand underlying business processes.

Responsibilities

Analyze standard SAP ABAP programs and develop custom enhancements to support data archiving requirements.
Design, develop, test, and maintain ABAP programs in alignment with business and technical specifications.
Perform advanced debugging and reverse engineering of standard SAP transactions, reports, and function modules to understand and document business logic.
Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into effective technical solutions.
Ensure compliance with SAP development standards, best practices, and performance guidelines.
Provide technical documentation and support during implementation and post-deployment phases.

Requirements

Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
Strong expertise in debugging and analyzing standard SAP programs.
Proven ability to reverse engineer standard SAP transactions and reports to derive business logic.
Good understanding of SAP Data Archiving concepts and related technical frameworks.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage)

Experience with SAP BTP and ABAP Cloud development.
Exposure to deploying applications and extensions using SAP BTP / ABAP Cloud.
Good understanding of information security and privacy principles related to organizational and confidential data, including data classification, masking, retention, destruction, and access control.
Awareness of relevant regulatory requirements and the ability to apply basic security controls are a plus.
