Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Network Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support of enterprise or service provider networks. This role involves maintaining network performance, availability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and manage routers, switches, and firewalls using network monitoring tools.
- Analyze alerts and network performance metrics to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network outages or performance degradation.
- Assist with network configuration changes, upgrades, and patch management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network devices, topologies, and configurations.
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes in coordination with teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and escalate issues when required.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

- 2–4 years of experience in network operations or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, routing (OSPF, BGP), and switching (VLAN, STP).
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools:
Solar Winds, Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, HP Open View.
- Basic understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and network security principles.

- Experience with Cisco and Juniper routers/switches (multi-vendor exposure is a plus).
- Ability to troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.

Preferred

Skills:

- Experience with MPLS, SD-WAN, or cloud networking concepts.
- Networking certifications: CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python/Bash) for automation is a plus.
