Teacher Librarian

We are looking for a committed Teacher Librarian to complement our qualified workforce of educators. You will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills.

The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to organize a class and make learning an easy and meaningful process.

Organize read-aloud sessions amongst students in the library and within classrooms
Facilitate research through the school by organizing sessions for the understanding of Digital Literacy
Assist students in the understanding of the process and culmination of the Personal Project and Extended Essay through research and citations
Writing of blogs for the website and for other social media platforms
Carrying out library/reading days for the school students
Assist students, faculty, and staff in the institution
Help students research topics related to their coursework and teach students how to access information
Assist faculty and staff in locating resources related to their research projects or studies
Help teachers develop lesson plans and find materials for classroom instruction
Obtain, prepare, and organize print and electronic library materials; arrange materials for patrons’ ease in finding information
Responsible for ordering new library materials and archiving to preserve older items along with keeping up-to-date the current library records
