Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to support accounting and reporting for our various business segments. The role requires strong technical accounting skills along with excellent communication abilities, including the ability to articulate financial information clearly to both India and US stakeholders. The candidate will be responsible for month-end close, reconciliations, and preparation of segment-level schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to the US parent company.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting
Handle day-to-day accounting for designated segments with accurate ledger maintenance.
Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, amortizations, prepaids, reclasses).
Ensure compliance with company policies and US GAAP accounting treatment.
Month-End Close
Execute monthly close activities per corporate timelines.
Prepare segment-wise P&L and balance sheet schedules with detailed variance analysis.
Support consolidation and reporting requirements for the US finance team.
Reconciliations & Reporting
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations (cash, AR, AP, accruals, etc.).
Ensure accuracy of revenue and expense allocations at the segment level.
Provide clear, well-documented schedules and working papers for internal reviews and audits.
Audit & Compliance
Support internal, external, and US parent audit requirements.
Maintain process documentation and support adherence to internal controls.
Systems & Operational Support
Work on Sage ERP system
Collaborate with US finance partners for reporting cycles and data requirements.
Support process improvements to enhance speed, accuracy, and automation in accounting workflows.
Key Requirements
Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4-6 years of post-qualification experience.
Strong accounting fundamentals and exposure to US GAAP preferred.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems;
Sage/Net Suite experience an advantage.
Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis.
Ability to work during US time-zone hours.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial information clearly to global stakeholders.
High attention to detail, documentation skills, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting US controllership or segment-level accounting.
Understanding of internal controls/SOX frameworks.
Ability to work effectively across global teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving capability with a process-improvement mindset.
