Job Overview

On-Site Project Assistant / Multiskilled Handyperson required in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Salary: £28,000 per annum.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:30 (flexibility required).

Contract:

Permanent.

Location:

Cheltenham-based with extensive travel (approx. 80% UK, 20% overseas – mainly Europe).

• Support project delivery across multiple on-site locations.
• Carry out repairs, refurbishment, and general maintenance works.
• Complete tasks such as carpentry, basic plumbing, flooring, painting, and general repairs.
• Ensure all work areas, units, and structures are safe, functional, and completed to a high standard.
• Support the movement, setup, and preparation of equipment and site assets.
• Work flexibly to meet project demands, including early starts, late finishes, and occasional overnight stays.
• Travel extensively across the UK and occasionally overseas to support projects.

• Proven hands‑on experience in at least one trade (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, roofing, flooring, painting or similar).
• A strong multiskilled background or willingness to develop across multiple disciplines.
• A proactive, can‑do attitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Calm, flexible, and focused approach in busy or changing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high‑quality work.

• Full, clean UK driving licence.
