Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in Operations. You will be the backstage powerhouse of our stores, keeping them running like clockwork. It is a physically demanding, high‑intensity role that requires you to work smart and keep the flow of products moving with urgency and accuracy.

You will be responsible for stock, deliveries, and all the vital behind‑the‑scenes work that keeps our shop floor full, clean, and ready for customers. Flexibility is vital: you will work across the wider store where needed, using digital tools to track deliveries and manage stock efficiently, and you will support colleagues across the store as a key team player.

Purpose

To deliver a great shopping experience for our customers by putting customers before tasks and championing our products. As the face of the business, you will be the voice of our customers, helping to continually improve the service.

Key Accountabilities
  • Serve customers efficiently, both on the shop floor and at service points.
  • Keep the store clean and tidy, ensuring shelves are always stocked.
  • Monitor and deliver on the daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunities.
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations and deliver remarkable service throughout their visit.
  • Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services.
  • Utilise digital tools and communication channels to deliver for the customer every time.
