Onsite – Cheltenham. Day Shift.

But, to get to where we want to be, we are looking for a Production Line Shift Leader at our Manufacturing facility in Cheltenham. Find out more below!

Role Summary

A production leadership role, reporting into the Production Supervisor, with shared accountability for building a high performing, continuous improvement culture.

You will be focused on ensuring an efficient operation in achieving business targets, provide leadership to the team, coordinating their workload and giving support to ensure they deliver their goals.

You will focus on achieving excellent quality products through effective coaching and training of all associates within your Production line.

You will also monitor issues and ensure production targets are met in line with business' Key Performance Indicators and working together as a team to comply to quality standards and deliver production plans to meet our customer needs, whilst maintaining a safe working environment.

Basic Function
  • Ensure people and resources are utilised in an efficient manner to meet delivery requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety rules and procedures.
  • Responsible for Safety, Quality, Delivery and HPPP (hours produced per person) performance.
  • Responsible for ensuring the line is ready for shift start up.
  • Responsible for line stop & Andon decision points.
  • Champion of root cause fixes for all problems for areas of responsibility.
  • Immediate escalation of issues or plan failure.
  • Accountable for ‘First Off’ & ‘Last Off’ checks for the line.
  • Manage and rectify non‑conforming products.
  • Coaching and supporting the team.
  • Responsible for line 5S standard.
  • Creation and implementation of Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and supporting the team in working to the standard.
Skills / Requirements
  • Displays role model behaviour.
  • Drive and support production activity.
  • Experienced in leading and mentoring teams to deliver results.
  • Able to clearly and concisely communicate with team and supporting functions.
  • Shares knowledge to support and train others.
  • Embraces change and new ways of working, promotes and drives change with the team.
  • Computer literate – Excel, Word.
  • Able to identify problems and provide root cause fixes.
