Vehicle Workshop Controller required in Cheltenham.
- Starting salary plus performance-related bonus scheme providing on-target earnings around £36,000 per annum.
- 8:00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday, with 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:30am-12:30pm.
Our client, a large multi‑franchise approved car dealership based in the Cheltenham region, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Workshop Controller to join their busy Service Department.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you shall work alongside another Workshop Controller and be accountable for a team of roughly 12 to 15 Vehicle Technicians.
Your responsibilities will include:- Day‑to‑day control of the workshop team.
- Liaise with the Service Manager and team to ensure the best process.
- Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated effectively to other members of the Service Department.
- Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met.
- To calculate and manage the effective use of the workshop.
- Plan the distribution of work among the team utilising the available skills mix.
