Overview
Are you looking for a new challenge? Our client provides end-to-end solutions for bespoke control and factory automation systems, covering the design, build, and installation of manufacturing process equipment, packaging machinery, conveyor systems, robotics, and vision inspection technologies. They are looking to appoint an additional electromechanical fitter/installer who will bring automation aspirations to life across a variety of industry sectors (predominantly in food and beverage and plastic container handling) on ground-breaking projects.
RoleYou will be required to work both in-house reporting to the workshop manager and on customers sites, reporting to the services director. You will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of automation machinery and systems. Due to the unique nature of our projects, youll be comfortable with the basics of control systems, happy to run wires if needed, and ready to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
You will take pride in delivering work to the highest possible standards and in a timely fashion. Our work is typically bespoke to each customer, and our diverse project portfolio means there are no standard production lines or builds; we employ solutioners.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, curious, tenacious, punctual, and able to manage their own time effectively. Youll have high standards and be described as hard-working, reliable, courteous, having a mature attitude and being a great team player.
Travel:
Roughly 30-40% travel. It is hard to predict due to the nature of what we do but you should expect typically up to 2 weeks at a time, approx. 5 x per year, plus ad-hoc UK day trips and overnights. You could be in the workshop for 3 months and then in the US for 4 weeks. We always work with our teams to ensure they get the right work-life-travel balance.
Some people want lots of travel, others less so. Our international customers are mainly in the USA and Canada; you’ll get a generous daily living allowance and stay in nice hotels while exploring local sites.
