Position: Associate / Senior Associate

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Solicitor to join our Cheltenham based team as an Associate or Senior Associate. We’re one of the most respected legal firms in the country, and our Private Client team particularly excel in looking after high net worth clients to include owner managed businesses and agricultural clients offering a broad and varied workload.

Many members of our team hold Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners qualifications, and are part of Solicitors for the Elderly. We also act for a number of private family charitable trusts, an area that is constantly growing. We are experienced in helping clients to manage international assets. This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with well‑known, experienced and recognised Partners, and with the wider Private Client team who are over 100 strong.

What

we need you to do:
  • Provide high grade, profitable fee earning support in the Private Client Team
  • Advise on and manage a wide range of Private Client issues including wills, probate, LPAs, trusts, estates and tax.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge on issues within Private Client, working collaboratively with colleagues across the whole team to share knowledge.
  • Contribute to business development opportunities and identify networking opportunities internally and externally, marketing and cross selling.
About You
  • 2-7 yrs PQE
  • STEP qualification or working towards
  • Demonstrable technical ability and excellent drafting skills
  • Able to work flexibly in other HCR offices as required.
  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and successfully manage client relationships
  • Can demonstrate teamwork and relationship building skills
  • Proactive, ambitious and organised with a keen eye for detail
  • Willingness to nurture and teach junior members of the team
