Permanent Our client is a specialist cloud engineering and cyber security consultancy delivering secure, high-performance cloud solutions into some of the UKs most security-critical and mission-driven environments. They are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design and delivery of large-scale, secure cloud architectures across AWS and Microsoft Azure. This is a high-impact role suited to a senior cloud professional who thrives in regulated, high-assurance environments and wants to shape cloud strategy at enterprise scale.

The Role As a Cloud Architect, you will:
Lead the design, implementation and optimisation of secure cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments Own end-to-end cloud security architecture, controls, and best practices Work closely with customer technical and operational teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust cloud solutions Lead architectural discussions, technical workshops, and design authority sessions Deliver solutions across both greenfield and brownfield cloud transformation projects Define and guide cloud migration strategies and modernisation programmes Provide expert input on cloud resilience, scalability, performance and operational excellence Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior stakeholders and client leadership teams

What Were Looking For Essential:
Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, Senior Cloud Engineer, or similar technical leadership role Strong hands-on expertise with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure (GCP experience is beneficial) Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale enterprise cloud solutions Solid understanding of cloud security architecture and secure design principles Experience leading cloud migration, modernisation, or hybrid cloud initiatives Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to lead technical decision-making and mentor engineers UK National (eligible for MOD DV security clearance sponsorship available) Desirable:

Experience with Dev Sec Ops  and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Cloud Formation) Knowledge of container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience working in regulated or government environments Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, CCSP, CISSP, etc.) Key Skills (Search Optimised) Cloud Architect, AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Security, Dev Sec Ops , Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, Cloud Migration, Hybrid Cloud, Enterprise Architecture, Secure Cloud Design, MOD DV Clearance, Government Projects, High Assurance Environments.
