📍 Remote

💰 Competitive Hourly Rate (Outside IR35 considered)
A busy civil engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Civil Engineer on a part-time contract basis (circa 20 hours per week).
This role will focus primarily on residential and commercial development schemes, with an emphasis on drainage and adoptable highways design.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Surface & foul water drainage design
SuDS strategies and detailed design
Flood Risk Assessments
S104 drainage agreements
S38 & S278 highway design and approvals
Liaison with LLFAs, Environment Agency and Water Authorities
Supporting projects from feasibility through to technical approval
This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone comfortable working autonomously and delivering compliant, buildable solutions.

About You
Strong experience in UK residential and/or commercial development
Proven track record securing S104, S38 and S278 approvals
Confident working independently
Able to commit to approximately 20 hours per week
UK-based with right to work
