Join Ridge and Partners LLP as a Senior Fire Risk Assessor. The role can be based in any of our offices.

• Conduct site-based fire risk assessments in industrial, commercial and residential sectors within specified time frames.
• Communicate regularly with clients to coordinate inspection schedules and remedial works.
• Ensure buildings meet the latest fire‑related building regulations and technical standards.
• Prepare schedules of work, specifications, estimates, and monitor progress on site, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Provide advice related to Building Regulations approvals on fire matters.
• Authorise and sign off Fire Risk Assessments before submission to clients.
• Conduct annual internal audits of Fire Risk Assessors.

• Full knowledge of current fire safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and technical standards.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• Minimum Level 4 qualification in fire risk management, Level 5 qualification in fire risk assessment or fire engineering.
• IFE‑approved fire risk assessment course completion.
• Registered on the national register of Fire Risk Assessors (via IFE, FRACS or IFSM Tier 3).
• Experience as a Validator under the BAFE SP205‑1 Scheme.
• Valid driving licence.
• Experience assessing fire risk in a range of premises.
