The Opportunity

Due to the school’s continued growth, we are seeking to appoint an inspiring Teacher of Maths to start in August 2026.

The successful candidate will be able to make a significant contribution in helping establish the Maths Department for Cheltenham Muscat as the best in the city. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong teacher to become part of the team that will establish Cheltenham Muscat as the leading school in Oman.

Cheltenham Muscat opened in September 2021 and is Oman’s first, premium, British school, for boys and girls aged 3 to 18. Please note that candidates must have at least 3 full years of relevant teaching experience in order to obtain a work permit to teach in Oman.

• Have in place a detailed and thorough scheme of work with details of topics to be covered as well as clear aims and objectives.

• To work with senior leaders to ensure that an academically challenging curriculum is taught.
• Seek opportunities for cross-curricular links, for instance through jointly organised educational visits or project work and incorporate Project Earthlings objectives where appropriate.
