Gloucestershire's largest comprehensive school with over 200 staff and approximately 1,800 students is seeking a Cleaning Assistant and Key Holder to provide an efficient and timely cleaning service across the school. You will support the Sports Centre with lettings/activity set‑ups and internal and external event set‑ups within the school.
The centre was opened in 2019 and has been an integral part of upholding the robust behaviour policy ever since. Its purpose is to provide short‑term intervention to enable students to be integrated into mainstream lessons and ultimately ensure minimal disruption to maximise teaching and learning.
You will be working up to 27.5 hours per week.
Shift Options- Monday 4:30 pm – 10:30 pm (30 minutes unpaid break)
- Tuesday 4:30 pm – 10:30 pm (30 minutes unpaid break)
- Wednesday 4:30 pm – 10:30 pm (30 minutes unpaid break)
- Thursday 4:30 pm – 10:30 pm (30 minutes unpaid break)
- Friday 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm (30 minutes unpaid break)
- Support the Commercial and Facilities Manager in leading all associated activities to best support the school’s strategic objectives.
- Oversee the running of let facilities while on shift (only in the absence of the Sports Centre Duty Manager), providing assistance and support to school facility users, promoting a customer‑focused environment and generating excellent public relations and customer care.
- Manage the running of lettings/activity set‑ups during out‑of‑school hours and set up for internal and external events within school buildings.
- Act as a point of contact for all stakeholders, including facility users and outside contractors, and liaise with contractors on site when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the site and fitness suite, including litter picking and emptying of bins.
- Clean all hard and soft floor surfaces within the designated area by the appropriate method and using machinery where necessary.
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times whilst on the premises and take reasonable care to safeguard your own safety and that of others with whom you work.
- Commitment to complete relevant training.
- Cleaning experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning systems.
- High standards of work.
- IT literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office
365 applications.
