Cook Part Time

Join our team at Highland Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center
. The Cook position is full‑time, day shift (5:00 am–1:30 pm) and offers same‑day pay.

Must have nursing home experience.

• Food preparation and production responsibilities.
• Review menus and production/prep guides to determine the type and quantities of food to be prepared.
• Prepare all meal items according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner to ensure the utmost quality with a minimum of waste.
• Use nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required.
• Operate kitchen utensils and equipment such as blender, mixer, fryer, slicer, steamer, food processor, convection oven, stove, conventional oven, steam table, and tilt skillet.
• Follow recipes.
• Prepare and assist with special function meals.
• Complete work assignments.
• Perform meal service responsibilities.
• Adhere to food safety standards.

• Primary series of the COVID‑19 vaccine required—NE Only.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior work experience with food preparation a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age‑related needs of the residents served.
