Role Description

The Assistant Retail  Manager will help plan and manage all aspects of day-to-day operations.

Such willincludemanaging personnel,establishingcustomer relations, inventory control,and handling the daily ebb and flow of all store-related matters while adhering to strict state guidelines and regulations. The Assistant Manager will communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to implement andmaintainsales protocols, policies, andprocedurespercompany'sstandards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review andassistin receiving all inventories with diligence and accuracy andfollowingcompany and state regulations
  • Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
  • Ensureaccuratecash handling, cashiering, and POS system operations
  • Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels during operation hours
  • Assist Human Resources and leadership in managing employee relations issues
  • Create effective organization and information gathering for all inventory
  • Track various sales metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new hires.
  • Assist with training staff according to company guidelines.
  • Prepare and conduct performance evaluations and corrective actions as needed.
  • Assistin the creation and implementation of new procedures and corresponding SOPs and training guides.
  • Assistin conducting nightly,and monthly inventory auditsfollowingcompany and state guidelines to ensure there is no diversion of inventory and effectively respond to discrepancies
  • Prepare and effectively lead state inspectors through unannounced inspections
  • Maintain records for all necessary documents: delivery and inventory manifests, nightly and monthly inventory counts,essentialemployee and customer information, logbooks, inventory adjustments, and destruction reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned by upper management

Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with

    MACannabis Program rules,METRC,and regulations is preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • 2-3 years’ experience in retail management or comparable experience with teams of 5+ employees;
    Cannabis experience preferred.
  • Excellent anddemonstratedtraining experience
  • Excellent customer service and conflict management skills
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff members and managers.
  • Proficient with

    MS Office
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel with experience in data entry and data management
  • A passion for cannabis that is translatable to a diverse group of ages,ethnicities,and professionals
  • Working knowledge of inventory and sales reports
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
