Overview

Human Resources (HR) Leader at Catalent, Inc. Boston-area facility (Chelsea, MA). This is a 100% on-site role with a Monday – Friday 8am–5pm schedule. Position located at Catalent’s global Center of Excellence for spray dry dispersion and Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) capsule manufacture and packaging.

The Role
  • Develops and directs the establishment and maintenance of policies, procedures, plans and programs in staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee development and training, organizational development, HR information systems to meet the site’s business plan and competitive strategy in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensures alignment of policies, procedures, plans, programs and budgets with Catalent Pharma Solutions. Partners with leadership in strategic planning, providing insight on HR concerns and aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Provides counsel to managers and employees on HR issues, organization structure and development. Develops, implements and administers an effective performance management system to improve productivity.
  • Establishes and maintains credible relationships with management and employees; supports line management in planning and problem solving. Oversees succession planning.
  • Plans and directs recruitment, selection and placement of talent with critical technical and management skills to ensure operational continuity and leadership bench strength.
  • Develops training and development plans to meet regulatory compliance and build required skills and competencies for present and future roles.
  • Develops and implements plans to manage cultural change and ensure organizational strategies, structure and processes align with evolving business needs.
  • Assures compliance with employment laws and regulations. Completes agency audits (EEOC, DOL, WCI) and ensures Health, Safety & Environmental responsibilities. Manages the department budget in partnership with Catalent Compensation, and administers fair and equitable reward systems.
  • All other duties as assigned.
The Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in HR or related field). Professional certifications such as PHR and SPHR are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of broad and progressive HR experience.
  • Two (2) years in a management role within HR is preferred.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing environment with shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd, days/nights rotating 7-day schedule) to support 24/7 operations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll principles, advanced HR investigations, HR policy expertise, strong customer service and follow-up skills, and advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, Workday, etc.).
  • Physical requirements:

    minimal travel; ability to walk, sit and stand for up to 10 hours per day; reading of documents and frequent computer use; clear English communication; ability to lift over 10 pounds; access to office and manufacturing areas.
Pay
  • The anticipated salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $165,000 to $190,000 annually. Final salary offered will depend on factors such as experience, education, and business needs. This salary range may not reflect positions in other states.
