Location: Chelsea, MA

  • On-site home-based care | Parking available | Accessible via nearby bus routes

Contract Details:

  • Part-time: 15–20 hours per week
  • Pay: $18/hour
  • Contract role with potential conversion to permanent employment

The Home Health Aide / Personal Care Assistant (HHA/PCA) provides essential in-home personal care and daily living support to individuals requiring assistance. This role focuses on promoting client safety, dignity, independence, and overall well-being through compassionate, reliable, and professional care in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
  • Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry tasks
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful and recreational activities
  • Monitor client health and behavioral changes and report observations to supervisors
  • Maintain accurate daily service logs and complete basic electronic documentation
Required Experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in home health, personal care, or direct support roles
  • Experience providing care in a home or residential setting

    High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for documentation, safety, and care coordination
  • Willingness to obtain CPR & First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Experience supporting older adults or individuals with disabilities
  • Prior experience with medication reminders or adherence support
  • Previous work using electronic care logs or basic digital documentation systems
