Key Responsibilities- Collect, store, and analyze flow data for the MWRA's wastewater/water metering system.
- Work with meter maintenance crews to troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate wastewater/water metering equipment.
- Program computers and equipment using specialized metering software to enable electronic collection and retrieval of flow data.
- Perform computerized diagnostic and statistical functions, assess meter maintenance needs, and coordinate scheduling using MWRA's asset management software.
- Maintain wastewater/water meter databases, activity journal, and assist in the preparation of data analyses and reports.
- Participate in the development of new systems to enhance wastewater/water flow data management capabilities.
- Perform related duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field such as math, business, accounting, or management.
- At least one year of experience performing data or statistical analyses using spreadsheet, database, CMM, or other computer software applications.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eligible for telework up to 50% of the work week after initial waiting period.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to manage, query, and analyze data in spreadsheet applications such as MS Excel; relational database/SQL knowledge preferred.
- Experience with SQL and one object‑oriented programming language (R, Python, Visual Basic, etc.) preferred.

Physical DemandsThe role requires regular hand use, sitting, talking, hearing, and occasional walking, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 25–50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
Work EnvironmentOccasional field settings and office environment; moderately loud field noise and moderately quiet office.
SupervisionDirect supervision of the Statistical Supervisor, Meter Data.
Salary and Wages$65,965.78 - $97,017.13 per year
