AP Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Chelsea, MA that is seeking a detail-oriented AP Specialist for a contract opportunity supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role focuses on full-cycle accounts payable with exposure to payroll, reconciliations, and general accounting support.

• Process full-cycle Accounts Payable (invoices, coding, approvals, payments)
• Maintain vendor records and W-9s; assist with 1099s
• Review purchase orders for accuracy and approvals
• Process and reconcile ACH/EFT, credit card, and bank transactions
• Perform account reconciliations
• Assist with payroll support, journal entries, and audit prep
• Support month-end and general accounting tasks as needed

• 3+ years of AP or accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Reliable and comfortable working onsite
• Nonprofit, municipal, or fund accounting experience is nice to have

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
