Description
You will be the Quality Engineer for the Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of manufactured and procured products within Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and enforcing quality standards, methods, and procedures that keep our customers’ missions on track.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to guarantee delivery of quality products.
- Analyze and resolve process issues ranging from routine to highly complex.
- Lead corrective‑action meetings, identify trends, and ensure responsible parties meet commitments.
- Participate in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards to disposition non‑conforming hardware and drive root‑cause corrective actions.
- Perform assessments and audits to verify compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, ISO
9001, and AS9100 standards.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company‑sponsored interim secret clearance is required to start.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a STEM related field some professional experience; or no experience required with a STEM related Masters degree.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
- This position requires the ability to obtain a secret clearance and must obtain an interim secret prior to start so therefore all candidates need to be US Citizens.
- Working knowledge of MES systems
- Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEAs, and Root Cause and Corrective Action processes.
- Experience in Six‑sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods.
- Discrete and/or Micro‑electronics experience.
- J‑STD‑001/IPC‑A‑610 familiarization.
- ASQ CQE.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time. The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay RateThe annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
