Electronics Engineer, Systems Engineer
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Chelmsford, MA, for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role supports the design, development, and manufacture of complex microwave electronics subsystems and offers a mix of cutting-edge design and hands-on product development and test. The position involves solving complex technical problems through innovative solutions across multiple engineering disciplines including RF/microwave, analog/digital, and mechanical/thermal engineering.
Required Skills
AA degree with 10+ years of experience
Interim Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain/maintain access to classified information, as required by government security investigation)
Experience in electronic packaging for military applications
Experience with design and documentation of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), and cabling
Experience with CREO and Windchill
Knowledge of GD&T
Familiarity with Change Board processes and documentation control
Preferred Skills
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience with electronics packaging for microwave electronics
Experience with CREO, Windchill, and Zuken
Hands-on experience building and testing electronic assemblies
Knowledge of materials and processes used in electronics
What You’ll Do
Design electronics packaging for microwave electronics components and sub-systems
Perform design, analysis, research, development, and testing across multiple engineering disciplines
Support manufacturing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of electronic assemblies
Plan and advance new aerospace products and technologies
Collaborate with multi-disciplined engineering and manufacturing teams in a modern, on-site product development environment
