About the Role

This role supports the design, development, and manufacturing of complex microwave electronics subsystems. You will work with multidisciplinary engineering teams using advanced design tools and onsite electronics manufacturing and testing facilities. The position involves solving challenging technical problems through innovative mechanical and packaging design for high-reliability electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronics packaging for microwave electronics and related subsystems
• Support circuit card assemblies (CCAs), printed circuit boards (PCBs), and cabling documentation
• Conduct design analysis, testing, and verification for mechanical and thermal performance
• Perform troubleshooting, manufacturing support, and root-cause analysis of electronic assemblies
• Collaborate with RF/microwave, analog/digital, and thermal engineering teams
• Use CREO and Windchill for 3D modeling, design, and configuration management
• Apply GD&T principles in mechanical design and documentation
• Participate in design reviews and change board activities
• Contribute to development of new aerospace products and technologies
• Work hands-on with prototypes and test equipment for validation and qualification

Qualifications

• AA degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in electronics packaging for defense or ruggedized applications
• Experience designing/documenting CCAs, PCBs, and cable assemblies
• Proficiency with CREO and Windchill
• Working knowledge of GD&T
• Familiarity with change board processes and documentation control
• Ability to meet eligibility requirements for handling restricted information

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with microwave electronics packaging
• Experience using Zuken
• Hands-on assembly and testing experience in electronics manufacturing
• Knowledge of materials and processes commonly used in electronics
