Our client in the medical equipment industry is seeking a Technical Parts Specialist to join their team in Billerica, MA. In this role, you will support service partners by identifying, quoting, and processing replacement parts for installed equipment. The ideal candidate brings parts‑related customer service experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to understand how components function together. Basic electrical or plumbing terminology is helpful but not required.
This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast‑paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established company with a strong reputation and long‑term stability.
- Respond to inbound phone and email inquiries related to replacement parts
- Identify correct parts using serial numbers, descriptions, and internal systems
- Prepare and deliver accurate pricing, quotes, and availability information
- Enter, process, and track parts orders with a high degree of accuracy
- Assist customers in clarifying part requirements when information is incomplete
- Coordinate with Shipping, Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams
- Monitor backorders and proactively communicate lead times and order status
- Follow up on open quotes, pending orders, and outstanding customer requests
- Maintain accurate documentation and records within internal systems
- Support equipment uptime through reliable and timely parts fulfillment
- 2+ years of experience in parts‑related customer support is required
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand component relationships is required
- Strong communication skills via phone and email are required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems is required
- Ability to work 100% on‑site in Billerica, MA is required
