Chelmsford High School is seeking a qualified and motivated long-term substitute business teacher to teach business related courses. The long-term substitute will be responsible for delivering engaging instruction aligned with district curriculum, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and supporting student learning and achievement. Must be willing to co-facilitate the DECA group.

• Deliver instruction in high school business courses, which may include topics such as:
  Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing.
• Follow established curriculum, pacing guides, and lesson plans (or develop lesson plans as needed).
• Assess student learning through assignments, projects, and quizzes; provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate attendance and grading records in accordance with school policies.
• Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively and consistently.
• Communicate professionally with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
• Collaborate with department members and support staff as needed.
• Follow all district policies, procedures, and school expectations.

Chelmsford High School is a public high school located in Chelmsford Massachusetts, established in 1927. The school is based on a three-house system. The houses are named after Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and John Whittier, three well-known New England writers. Each house has two to three school counselors, a dean, and an office. All students are assigned a house at the beginning of their freshman year.

• Successful candidates will hold the appropriate degree and MA DESE Teaching License in the subject and grade level. Bachelor’s degree (Business Education or related field preferred).
