Transport Driver

Overview

Chelmsford, Essex — Full-Time — perm — £30,00-£35,000 per year. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery/collection of vehicles within a set timeframe.

Hours Mon to Fri 7-5; 1 in 3 Saturdays 8-3.

Pay £30-35,000 depending on experience.

• Collection and delivery of vehicles using a truck & trailer, ensuring that the vehicles are properly secured and transported in a safe and compliant manner.
• Completion of all paperwork.
• Examine vehicles for damage and tyre safety, ensuring that damage reports are completed, and any damage is agreed with the customer prior to the vehicle being taken.
• Maintain systems and procedures in line with department operating standards and utilise them appropriately.
• Complete any relevant documentation where necessary.
• Receive and provide receipt for the collection of payments where necessary.
• Chauffeur company personnel and/or customers where required.
• Collect/deliver small items where required.
• Any other reasonable duties assigned by management.

• Experience in a similar role.
• Correct drivers licence to tow up to 3.5T.
• Ability and previous experience of trailered deliveries.
• Ability to work deadlines and targets.
• Flexible with working hours.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Confident and professional communication skills.
• Full, clean UK drivers licence.
