HGV Class 1 Container & General Haulage Driver

Location Chelmsford

Pay Rate:

• £16.50 per hour (PAYE) - minimum 10 hours paid per day

• £18.49 per hour (PAYE including 12.07% holiday pay)

Job Type: Full-time / Ongoing work/Adhoc work - days and nights

We are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for container work and general haulage
. This role involves regular port work, therefore port experience is essential
.

• Class 1 driving for container and general haulage

• Container collections and deliveries to and from UK ports

• Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting

• Compliance with drivers' hours and road transport legislation

• Accurate completion of paperwork and PODs

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card

• Proven Class 1 experience - mandatory

• Port experience - essential

• No more than 6 points on licence

• Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious

• RHIDES card

• Gateway card
