Customer Development Executive – Carlsberg Britvic
- Location – Chelmsford, Witham & surrounding areas (Ideal postcode CM8)
- Permanent, Full time – 40 hours per week
- Salary £29,750 basic + 20% bonus

WhatYou'll Do
Working with a Regional Sales Manager, you will sell our Suites of Soft Drinks and Beer portfolio to convenience retailers (Symbol & Independent), establishing and retaining new business opportunities, and delivering a territory business plan focussed on maximising sales opportunities.
If you bring energy and passion, we will support and develop you to:
- Partner with our customers by building outstanding relationships in convenience stores, understanding retailer needs, local consumers, and executing solutions.
- Adopt a full category‑based selling approach to grow and develop every outlet you work with for the benefit of the retail outlet and Carlsberg Britvic.
- Create a winning territory business plan and take a business‑development approach to grow sales and market share.
- Use data and evidence‑based retailer successes to drive best practice in your territory, region, and across the team.
- Develop a growth mindset and adaptable approach that demonstrates an ability to offer alternative approaches to tackling challenges and winning over your stores.
- Fun, passionate, driven, and target‑orientated team player who can bring brands to life.
- Entrepreneurial style – thrive on being the key contact for customers, driving new business, and maintaining sustainable relationships.
- Eager to win, advocating our brands and putting consumers at the heart of what we do and sell.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in Direct Sales/Convenience or FMCG desirable.
- Good administration, organisational and planning skills; commercially astute with great negotiation techniques.
- Self‑motivated, IT and social media literate.
- Strong and resilient, with the personal energy and will to act at pace.
- Participating as part of a team proactively.
- Full valid manual driving licence, eligibility to work in the UK and live within a 60‑minute commute from the location of the role (essential).
- A starting salary of £29,750 and a 20% quarterly bonus.
Please note this role requires a full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 points or previous bans); all offers will be subject to a successful DVLA licence check.
