We're looking for a Production Flow Coordinator to join our client's Operations team and play a key role in ensuring their production processes run efficiently across Fibre, Insert Room, Milling, and Turning departments. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys planning, collaboration, and driving continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Production Flow Coordinator, you will:
- Review and analyse production plans across all main departments to identify bottlenecks, risks, and material flow issues.
- Monitor material availability for customer orders, highlighting shortages and potential delays.
- Work closely with department team leaders and Purchasing to confirm incoming material dates and availability.
- Adjust production schedules based on capacity, material flow, and part complexity to ensure achievable customer promise dates.
- Communicate updates proactively with Customer Service, especially when ship dates need revising.
- Collaborate with production teams and subcontractors to expedite materials or processes when required.
- Assess the impact of changes on internal and external customers and provide effective solutions.
- Optimise resource use while supporting continuous improvement across production planning and material flow.
- Document issues, actions, and improvements, contributing to planning process development.
- Provide support to other planning and production roles when needed.
What We're Looking For
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- Experience in production planning, material flow, or supply chain coordination within manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex production scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of machining, turning, or assembly processes (highly desirable).
